Macbeth

Directors Notes- "No one man should have all that power."

Superstitiously known as the "Scottish Play", we are proud to introduce you to a post-apocalyptic  world of Macbeth by William Shakespeare. Since most students are reading this for their junior year, we are happy to give you this dark tragedy that tells the tale of a man promised to become king and his decent to madness as his ambition soils everything he touches.

Our visual creation of Macbeth and music design were designed in symbology to that of Kanye West, specifically tailored around his song, POWER.

To make this experience a little easier to understand, some of the language has been adapted with a more modern diction.  Evan James will excite you with his powerful performance of the Scottish king alongside Lauren Linsey as Lady Macbeth.

This show is not for the faint of heart. There is a lot of use of artificial stage blood, smoke and strobe lighting effects.
